Isaiah's just your normal drifter; traveling from small town to small town across the northern US and southern Canada. Hanging out, doing the odd job here and there, meeting people, leaving people behind.
And committing heaps and heaps of felony and international fraud and.
It's okay. It's all against mega corporations. The Jeff Bezos's of the world are the only people feeling any real loss (if they can even feel the fractions of their wealth he's making off with.) And as an added bonus, he teaches the most destitute in each of the towns he visits all the best ways to scam the 1% out of their "hard earned" riches. A modern day Robin Hood!
And, like all good Robin Hood archetypes, he's got enough charm to lead an army with. Which comes around to cause problems for him more often than he'd like. While Isaiah's natural charm is a boon in winning the trust of townsfolk so he can teach them the latest scam, it's not so great when it comes to keeping himself isolated enough to pick up and leave town. There have been more than a few times when he's had to leave a broken heart or two...or three behind.
But it's the life he loves, and for all the flaws in it, he wouldn't want to trade it for anything else. He's helping people after all, and it's a far sight better than the life he left behind in the first place. Only child of an increasingly distant, visionary CEO father, Reggie King. Weighed down with expectations on every side. So caught up in trying to be the best at everything that he lost sight of who he was—who he wanted to be.
Really, it was a gift when he fell into a fugue state and woke up half a country away from everything and everyone he'd ever known. It'd been terrifying at the time, sure, but it made it so much easier to just keep going and never look back. Sure, maybe a few people would actually miss him, but...they would've been looking for Lucy, right? And he couldn't be that girl ever again.
